Hello there,  we are the husband and wife team that is Zadel Jewellery Studio – Johan & Adele – with more than 70 years of combined experience in the jewellery industry, we still remain passionate and in love with what we do….and each other of course!

Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa as life unfolded and industry changed so did our flair for the arts that is apparent and our design style settled to a refined symmetrical style of jewellery, emphasis being on clean lines and highlighted stones.We believe ‘style has to make sense’. When opportunity presented itself in late 2008, it was without hesitation that we got the ball rolling to set up a new life here in Vancouver, B.C. This came to fruition in late 2010 when the Van Tonder Family planted roots in Canadian soil.

~ “Johan has been in the jewellery industry for the past 50+ years qualifying as a Master Goldsmith, being a Master Goldsmith is to be efficient in all aspects of jewellery manufacturing, gemmology, setting, designing etc. In his career he won many Jewellery Design competitions for the Chamber of Mines.

Adele has been in the jewellery industry for the past 25+ years. Her areas of expertise are in management, retail, customer liaison, accounting but nothing is more prevalent than her passionate creative flair she exercises daily designing unparalleled creations for her clientele. The perfection of her designing is enhanced with her knowledge and application of 3D Rhinoceros engineering in jewellery design. This facilitates the client in seeing the design from sketch, to magazine rendering to a wax prototype and finally a Masterpiece in the metal of their choice. This was rewarded by being runner up in the Prestigious Wax2Max Design competition for her Sapphire Earring design.” ~

Our workshops are comprehensively kitted out and therefore require no outside intervention i.e. all manufacturing, repairs, setting, casting production, are done on the premises. Our productive manufacturing division services the trade and public and are very efficient in Platinum, gold and silver manufacturing and casting – our manufacturing lead time is 10-15 working days on average.

We strive to make each piece of jewellery as near as possible to perfection with the special attention to the finest detail. The quality of each manufactured piece of  is guaranteed, and the total satisfaction of each and every client is of the utmost importance. Nothing is left to chance, and every step is carefully planned and fulfilled.
