Do you want us to design your next custom piece of jewellery but aren’t in Vancouver? Don’t worry, we can arrange online consultations using one of the many video conferencing apps out there. We can work with you virtually to design your perfect ring and ship it to you once it’s done.
Every one of our custom pieces are designed for each client individually – From the style you’d like used in the design, to the fitting of the stones you’ve dreamed of, and then having your exact measured size forged into your vision using your desired material; the whole process revolves around your image of the perfect piece of jewellery.

Appraisals that we provide at Zadel are not done in-house, but rather by a well recognized appraiser in Vancouver. We will happily facilitate this for you at the cost of $75 per item. We are insured up to $15k, for appraisals higher in value we can provide and estimate for additional insurance.
Our workshop specialises in creating unique designs made with gold (Silver, 10K, 14K, 18K, white, yellow and rose) as well as Platinum. We also work with mined diamonds, lab-grown diamonds and gemstones.
We understand the personal significance of every piece that comes through our doors, and we want to ensure each piece is handled with care, in saying that we are content in utilising your diamonds & gemstones in your next bespoke design. All we ask is you please bring along all information you would have on hand to your consultation pertaining to the stones and gold you would like to use.
BY APPOINTMENT QUESTIONS
For any custom design we would advise you to book an appointment. However, we do have a full studio that’s in the heart of Granville Island and we welcome all guests to come and explore our existing pieces and get a glimpse of the craftsmanship at hand.
The easiest way is to make one through our website so we can get a better understanding of what you are looking for. However, if you don’t see a time that works for your schedule, please feel free to send us an email and we will do our best to accommodate any requests!
Appointments are available on a Wednesday & Friday from 11am – 4pm and a Saturday from 11am-1pm.
If you happen to be in the neighbourhood you’re welcome to swing by and check if we are free to discuss your project. If not, we’d be happy to book an appointment with you at that time.
Following a quick consultation on what you’re seeking, we’ll present our showroom’s existing collection — including our loose inventory of diamonds and precious gemstones — and guide you through our custom design process. You’re welcome to try on any of the rings we have in stock!
We offer in-store appointments on Engagement Rings (30 minutes), Wedding Bands (30 minutes) and Ready To Wear Jewellery (15 minutes), and also provide Phone Consultations (15 minutes). You’re free to ask us any questions along the way, and if you haven’t made a decision by the end of your appointment, you’re welcome to book a follow-up at a later date.

A friend’s advice is priceless, but because of the size of our showroom we ask that only one person accompanies you for your appointment. If you need a larger party on-hand, please give us a heads up and we will do our best to accommodate.
WARRANTY AND INSURANCE QUESTIONS
We offer a two-year manufacturing warranty on all of our designs, and we will also provide one complimentary sizing, ring maintenance, and cleaning.
We do not provide insurance through Zadel Jewellery Studio, however once your ring has been appraised we suggest giving the documentation to your current insurance provider. If you do not have insurance, we will happily provide a referral to a local company we trust. We highly recommend having your ring appraised and insured in the case of loss or damage.
SIZING AND PRODUCT CARE QUESTIONS
At Zadel Jewellery Studio, we have various tools to measure your fingers to find out what size is best. If you are trying to find out your partner’s ring size, you can always bring in a ring of theirs and we can measure that. If that’s not an option, we do have ring sizing tools that can be mailed to you to assist you in gauging their finger size however, a ballpark size is always helpful when custom designing a ring, however we can most often resize the ring afterwards if need be.
We will need to hold on to your ring for 7-10 days to do the sizing, and we’ll also give it a clean while we’ve got it.
We suggest bringing in your ring every 1-2 years to check the setting, give it a polish, and a thorough cleaning.
If you’ve purchased your ring from us, we will happily clean your ring in our ultrasonic cleaner on the spot. If you’re wanting to give it a clean at home, we suggest using warm water, mild dish soap and a soft bristle toothbrush to loosen up any dirt that may have accumulated underneath the stones.
Yes, we do offer this service. Once we have assessed the ring, we will best advise you and give you an estimate on the spot for the work that is needed to be done.
PAYMENT QUESTIONS
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cheques, and bank wire transfers. If you are interested in an alternate form of payment, please get in touch with us.
Unfortunately, we do not offer financing. We do, however, allow orders to be paid for in instalments while your ring is being built. We just ask that the ring is fully paid for before it leaves the shop.

DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
Please be advised that our return policy varies depending on the type of purchase/on a per client basis. For any returns to be accepted, the piece must be unworn and be brought in within 14 days of purchase. Under no circumstances do we issue refunds instead a store credit will be held. There are no returns or refunds for custom designs
All of our engagement rings are hand crafted for each client around the stone of their choosing. For this reason, we unfortunately cannot issue refunds.
We will provide a credit for the centre stone, which can be transferred to a new diamond or gemstone within 14 days of purchasing.
On most finished goods, we’ll accept exchanges for almost anything of equal or greater value within 14 days of purchasing.
